Some donors prefer to donate physical goods rather than money. It has a tangible presence, and if you visit the dogs, you can see your donation actually being used. We have a way you can do that, too!
Canine Pet Rescue really likes the Karunda Dog Beds. These are rugged aluminum or PVC frame raised beds, with a heavy webbing to support the dog. The edges of the frame and webbing are protected from chewing, which not only makes the bed last but keeps the dog from chewing up a soft mattress, towel, or other bedding. We'd like for all of the kennels to have Karunda beds. Using the link below, you can purchase a bed that will go to CPR, and keep a German Shepherd off the floor.
We also like to use Thundershirts for the dogs that come through with anxiety issues during thunder or other stressful situations. The description below discusses why Thundershirts work so well, and the benefits of them. These are a valuable addition to the tools CPR uses to help a rescue dog develop a secure, trusting relationship with people.
CPR also welcomes donations of other goods you may have. We can always use *unexpired* flea and tick preventatives, bedding, German Shepherd-sized collars and leashes, crates, and other "typical" items any dog can use (but no used toys, please). If you're unsure about something you have being useful or not, drop us an email via our Contact Us page, and we'll let you know. If we can't use it, a local shelter probably can.
